| Ruskai's Frequently Asked
Questions |
| Q: What
is the proper coat & eye color? |
Per the AKC, there is no incorrect coat or
eye color. It is very common for a Siberian to be one color and Mom
and/or Dad to be a different color. Eye color is the same way. They can
have blue, brown, be parti-eyed or bi-eyed. As far as color in the
Siberian world, anything goes!

| Q: How can I pick a good Siberian puppy? |
Let's start by saying there is no 100% sure
fire way to know that you are getting the best dog. So what we are giving
you here are just some suggestions. You can use all or part but we cannot
take any liability for our suggestions.
The best suggestion that we can give is to start some research, especially
if you have never owned a Siberian. The first thing to do is check out the
AKC at www.akc.org and
see what information they have on Siberians. Second, read an article
entitled "Is There A Siberian In Your Future?", which can be
found at http://www.siberianrescue.com/seneca.htm.
If you still want to pursue a Siberian, then visit the pups and meet the
puppy's parents. While there, observe the parent's temperament. Then you
can ask about pedigrees, what activities their dogs do, how often they
breed, if they have a contract, have they had both parents eyes and hips
checked and probably a lot more questions than what I have listed here.
Another suggestion is to go to a dog show and meet some people that show
Siberians. These people are very friendly and have lots of suggestions
along with the do's and don'ts in the Siberian world.
